Harvest of Souls (2)

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45 NKJV)
What a great fervour of intense spiritual warmth! Jesus was born to die, He came to die for sinners - and he did so in wholesome submission to the will of God. Romans 5:8 readily comes to mind, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8 NKJV)
Never was a man treated with such extreme malice, He was treated with utmost contempt; He was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief; He was mocked and spat on, trampled upon, tormented and tortured. Alas! His great grieve notwithstanding, it is 'bizarre' that He was not mindful of Himself neither did He seek to be delivered.
"He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth." (Isaiah 53:7 NKJV)
Believers are the set of people, Jesus has commissioned to share His burden and passion for the lost souls; hence our hearts are men to burn with the fervent passion for the lost souls.
Our soul must be a furnace of burning zeal for the harvest of souls. The heart that is void of such passion is a backsliden one. A cold heart is a siamese with a sinful one. Coldness of heart towards the dying world is an anomaly because you were born again to "burn".
I remember the epitaph on Adam Clark's grave "in living for others I am burned out"
Your heart must be filled with love and compassion for the lost, it must be your sleeping and waking thought; you must dream it, sing it and preach it; it must make you skip your meal, it must consume your thought.
Your ambition, dream and vision must be woven with the strands of love for the sinners.
Self-consciousness, self-indulgence and gratification will hinder; laxity, sin and revelling will wreck us.
Do all you could to wake this passion in your heart, let go of worldliness, let go of carnality, give yourself over to the word and much prayers; it is the end-time, it is the time for harvest, the harvest of souls! Precious souls for whom Christ died.

Harvest of Souls (1)

"I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work." (John 9:4 NKJV)
Eternity beckons, the world is gradually passing away according to the word of God (1John 2:17); the coming of our Lord is imminent; yet there are still many souls for whom He died who are still lost in darkness.
Beloved saint, how passionate are you about the salvation of the perishing souls? There was never a generation in the whole of human history that was as distracted as ours; the concern of Jesus whether he would find faith on earth when He comes, has become most relevant to us than to other generations before us.
Are you going to remain in your comfort zone, only pursuing your carrier, and just pleasing yourself, while precious souls for whom Christ died proceed on their way to hell?
God is still counting on you. He left you on earth as His representative not for self gratification, which has been the major preoccupation of many saints today; you are here for His purpose! To do His bidding, to fulfil His will, to reap the harvest of souls, to preach the gospel of Christ to the dying world.
Remember! There is a specified time frame of relevance for you on earth; you will not always have the opportunity and the strength to evangelize, "for the night cometh when no man shall be able to work".
What's your decision?

The Simplicity of "The Faith" (2)

"And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and Power" (ICor. 2:4 NKJV)
The gospel of Salvation is Simple - Christ and Him Crucified - no more, no less. Any attempt to garnish or enhance it with human ideas and opinions rubs it of its efficacy.
The gospel is not complex or complicated, the reason its Presentation  in teaching and preaching must be kept simple.
Preachers! if your audience will ever exercise faith in the ability of God, then you have a responsibility to Present the Plain gospel in a simple way.
Looking for the so-called 'revelation' where it does not exist is detrimental to the growth and influence of the word over the heart of men. The word of God is simple and plain, it has in itself the very ability of God, yet many are not experiencing its efficacy because they stumble at its simplicity. This is the error of the Pharisees and majority of Israelites.
"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. 2. "For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God."(Romans 10:1-3 NKJV)
Paul spoke of the mystery he received from the Lord; the mystery which pervades all his epistles, being the building blocks of all his writing. And he suggests to us that the way to understand this mystery is to 'Read'- as you read you understand; simple! viz:
3. "how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery as I have briefly written already, 4.by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ' (Eph.3:3-4 NKJV)

The Simplicity of "The Faith" (1)

"But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." (II Corinthians 11:3 NKJV)
The glory and the sublimity of the Christian life consist in its simplicity; Salvation is a noble gift of God, yet it is not for the nobles, the rich, the wise nor even the pious and the sanctimonious; it is not based on merit or social status. It's only for those would receive it in simple faith, the noble, the rich, the ignoble and poor alike.
"For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence." (I Corinthians 1:26-29 NKJV)
Those who want to work for it would never and can never have it.
"Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God." (Romans 10:1-3 NKJV)
A little wonder, no rule nor law is required to be saved, ONLY BELIEVE!
The Law of Moses has list of 'dos' and 'don'ts' but the gospel of Jesus only one injunction - “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31 NKJ)
:Jesus has done it all! no more work to do but a life to live; living out the life of God in the ability and enablement of His Spirit, this is what it means to work out your salvation (Phil. 2:12).
Glory!! We have entered into His rest; no more work to do but a life to live, the very life of God. Hallelujah!
