Wisdom, Solomon says, is better than strength & weapons of war (Ecc.9:16 &18). The 'Strength' & 'smartness' that exalts 'self' and seeks its own way at all cost to the detriment of others according to James the Apostle, is earthly, sensual and demonic (James 3:14-16)
True wisdom is selfless! Those who walk in it readily yield to the superior judgments and stronger reasonings of godly minds; full of compassion & beneficence to the poor, doing good works and duties as fruits of grace, with conscience void of offense before God and men; being never swayed by self-interest, worldly honor or the fear of men; without pretending to be what it is not; seeking nothing but God's glory.
Its incumbent on the man born again, in whose 'heart' the Spirit of God dwells, to walk circumspectly in order to bring glory to the name of the Lord.
